Arrest warrants issued against seven people under PBM

Rajkot, Apr 7 (UNI) Arrest warrants were issued today against seven people under Prevention of Black Marketing (PBM) Act after they were found indulging in adulteration of edible oils.

The arrest warrants were issued by District Collector Mona Khandhar based on the DSO's report.

District Supply Officer (DSO) Raju Mehta told UNI that raids were conducted in seven oil mills at Gondal, Shapar-Veraval and Mota Mava in the district during Feburary and samples had been sent for the laboratory tests.

After the findings were proved positive of the adulteration, notices were served to them, he said.

The warrants were issued against Praful Rayani, Kishor Bavalaiya, Bhupat Khanpara, Dhiraj Butani, Mansukh Gajera (all from Gondal), Ramnik Amrutiya (Shapar-Veraval) and Jagdish Bhut (Mota Mava), Mr Mehta said.

Of the seven, two--Ramnik Amrutiya and Jagdish Bhut--have been arrested by the police and are being sent to jails in Vadodara and Surat, he added.

Government transactions handed over to Bank of Baroda in Gujarat

Siliguri, Apr 7 (UNI) A Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) hardcore militant has been arrested by the Siliguri police this evening. The militant, Rajesh Chhetri had been working in Bhutan.
