17 file nominations for bypoll in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 7 (UNI) As many as 17 candidates filed their nominations for by-elections to three Assembly constituencies in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on the last day of the filing of papers today.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Abdul Hamid, who is the returning officer, told UNI that while eight candidates filed nominations from Sangrama, four from Pattan and five from Rafiabad constituencies.

The scrutiny of papers will be held on April 9 while the last date of withdrawal is April 10.

The bypoll will be held on April 24.

Gujarat to issue 'health cards' to 6-lakh workers on May Day
