Sonia's resignation would give impetus to UP Cong: Renuka

Lucknow, Mar 25 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare Renuka Choudhury today claimed the resignation of AICC chief Sonia Gandhi would give impetus to the Congress in Uttar Pradesh.

''Although UP assembly election is due next year, the incident has made people ponder upon the 'sacrifice' made by her,'' Ms Choudhury said here.

Talking to reporters, she claimed the Nehru-Gandhi family was known for its ''sacrifice'' for the country.

Criticising the opposition party for raking up a ''false issue'' of the Ordinance, she asserted, ''People can now see the conspiracy of these parties...the resignation of Ms Gandhi is a befitting reply to them.'' ''Let the election come, people will teach these opportunistic parties a lesson,'' she added.

Microsoft delays consumer Office software to 2007

NEW YORK, Mar 25 (Reuters) Microsoft Corp. said on Friday it would delay the consumer launch of its Office software package until next year to coincide with the debut of its Vista operating system. Both products had been expected later this year. The 2007 Microsoft Office package, which includes the Word processor, Excel spreadsheet, and PowerPoint presentation software, will be made available to business customers in October 2006, the world biggest software maker said. Telekom Malaysia may list overseas arm -report

KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 25 (Reuters) Malaysia's dominant phone company, Telekom Malaysia Bhd, may list its overseas arm on the local stock exchange following changes to the listing rules, a business weekly reported, citing unnamed sources.
