Six killed in a road accident in UP

Kanpur, Mar 25 (UNI) At least six people were killed when an over loaded jeep collided head on with a truck under Suhail police station of the adjoining Aurraiya district of Uttar Pradesh today.

Police sources said all the deceased were travelling in the jeep and died on the spot. One person was also injured in the accident.

Senior police officials have reached on the spot.

Shillong, Mar 25 (UNI) Life in three districts of Garo Hills in Meghalaya today paralysed in protest against passing of Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) Amendment Bill 2005 in the state Assembly. The protest by the Garo Students' (GSU) Union targetted government offices to vent their opposition against the controversial bill that had rocked the Garo hills from the last four months. The bill was passed yesterday despite a strong protest by the NCP members.....
