Sehwag confident of playing Delhi ODI, Kumble's knee gets better

New Delhi, Mar 25 (UNI) Struggling with a back spasm, Virender Sehwag is hopeful of playing the first of the seven-match one day series against England at his home turf here on March 28.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Niranjan Shah said in a statement today that both the players are expected to be fit before the match even though Sehwag would have to clear a fitness that to make it to the final XI.

''Sehwag has significantly improved with respect to his back injury. He is confident of being available for the 1st ODI vs England.'' ''However, his inclusion will be dependent upon participating and passing a full net session tomorrow with the squad,'' Mr Shah said, adding ,''His clinical signs are presently very promising.'' On Kumble, the BCCI secretary said that his left knee has improved and his swelling and pain has reduced.

Spanish PM to visit Dublin for peace process help

Nigeria says to transfer Charles Taylor to Liberia
