Rowing event 'Gomti Cup Marathon 2006' from Mar 28

Lucknow, Mar 25 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Rowing Association is organising 'Gomti Cup Marathon 2006' at the banks of river Gomti on March 28.

Organising secretary Tejendra Prakash Havelia said here today, that the marathon would kickstart from the UP Tourism Board Club and after taking a pre-determined route conclude at the same place.

Suspected LTTE trawler blast sinks Lankan naval attack craft

Colombo, Mar 25 (UNI) A suspected LTTE arms trawler blew up sinking an approaching Sri Lankan naval Fast Attack Craft (FAC) with 19 sailors on board off north-western Mannar district today. According to military sources, at least six LTTE cadres have been killed and while 11 of the sailors escaped the blast, eight are still missing.
