Rangarajan for accelerate growth rate

Rohtak, Mar 25 (UNI) Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister C Rangarajan today stressed the need for economic development by accelerating growth rate so as to ensure fulfillment of the basic needs to every citizen.

Speaking at the 13th Convocation of Maharshi Dayanand University Dr Rangarajan said,'' Efficiency nad equity in developmemt yoked together to weave a coherent pattern of growth,'' according to a release here.

The noted economist said the delivery system with regard to education, health and economic services must improve.

''Broad philosophy of promoting competitive economic environment must be pursued,'' he said addding agriculture, infrastructure, investment in social infrastructure need more focus.

Varsity lands will not be given for commercial purpose
