BPSC chairman denied bail

Patna, Mar 25 (UNI) Special vigilance Judge of Patna, Ram Niwas Prasad, today rejected the regular bail petition of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) chairman Dr Ram Singhasahan Singh in a case relating to irregularities committed in recommendation of names of candidates for administrative services.

Mr Prasad also turned down the regular bail application of BPSC members Shiv Balak Chaudhary and D N Sharma in another case related to recommendation of a name for the post of manager of the Moinul Haque Stadium Patna.

Mr Prasad also rejected the regular bail application of Santosh Kumar Jha, a supplier and main accused in the flood relief scam in Bihar.

New Delhi, Mar 25 (UNI) The Delhi Police have unearthed a manufacturing unit in the Fatehpuri area of Central Delhi producing fake Shahnaz Hussain cosmetics and arrested two people in this connection. New Delhi, Mar 25 (UNI) The Delhi Traffic Police have announced several traffic restrictions in the capital for the one day international match between India and England scehduled to be held at the Ferozeshah Kotla Ground on March 28. Cylinder blast leaves 13 injured; 3 serious

New Delhi, Mar 25 (UNI) Thirteen people were injured, three of them seriously, when a gas cylinder being illegally filled exploded in Shakarpur area of East Delhi this morning. The injured include three children (ragpickers aged between 7 and 13), who have been admitted to the hospital, according to sources. Motihari, Bihar, Mar 25 (UNI) At least 27 people were feared killed and five others were seriously injured when a bus veered off the National Highway 28 and fell into a ditch near Amodei village under Ramgarhwa police station area in East Champaran district today.
