Arunachal assembly adjourns sine die

Itanagar, Mar 25 (UNI) Budget session of the fourth Legislative assembly of Arunachal Pradesh came to an end this evening after Speaker Setong Sena adjourned it sine die.

The five-day session, which began on March 21 last, passed a surplus budget with negative opening balance for the year 2006-2007.

Governor S K Singh addressed the session during the first day.

The budget session also passed five important bills namely Arunachal Pradesh Fisheries Bill, 2006, Arunachal Pradesh Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) (Amenment) Bill, 2006, The Arunachal Pradesh Goods Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2006, Arunachal Pradesh local Authorities (Prohibition of Defection) (Amendment) Bill, 2006 and Arunachal Pradesh Fiscal Responsibility Bill, 2006.

Besides adopting a few private member resolutions, a few reports from various assembly committees were also adopted during the session.

Metro to run inside Dwarka from March 31
