Kid dies in crossfire

Kolkata, Mar 24 (UNI) A class six kid was killed in a crossfire between two miscreant groups aboard a train in South 24 parganas today.

Police said the incident took place when two groups of miscreants began fighting among themselves. The boy was shot when a stray buillet shot by them hit him.

He died on the spot in front of his mother. The miscreants managed to flee.

A case has been registered.

GENEVA, Mar 24 (Reuters) WTO farm talks, a central part of global free trade negotiations, have made some progress ahead of an April deadline but a breakthrough will come only when key political issues are resolved, officials said today. ''It was not a bad week as these things go, perhaps even a little better than anticipated,'' said New Zealand ambassador Crawford Falconer, the talks' chairman. NASA lifts spacewalk ban for space station crew

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla, Mar 24 (Reuters) NASA lifted its ban on spacewalks from the International Space Station following ground tests of suspect safety equipment, a spokeswoman said today. Engineers were concerned that metal handrails on the outside of the station's US components may fail due to a possible manufacturing flaw. Spacewalking astronauts use the handrails to attach the safety tethers that keep them from inadvertently floating off into space. NASA found some corrosion in metal.....
