UT Administration invites suggestions to promote tourism

Chandigarh, Mar 10 (UNI) With an objective to workout strategies to further promote tourism in Chandigarh and to make it more tourist friendly, the Department of Tourism, Chandigarh Administration has opened a site titled ''Friends of Chandigarh'' in its official website, in which the Department of Tourism sought the suggestions from the tourists and general public to further promote tourism.

The Tourism Department invited views, ideas and suggestions from all those who wish to see the city and and to further promote tourism here. They can register their views, ideas and suggestions in this regard online also.

Iran rejects Western "bullying" in nuclear dispute

UN staff vote no confidence in Annan management

UNITED NATIONS, Mar 10 (Reuters) The UN Staff Union voted overwhelmingly to express no confidence in UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and his top managers after Annan announced plans to overhaul the UN bureaucracy. A motion ''to express a statement of no confidence in the secretary-general and his senior management team'' was opposed by just two of the more than 500 UN employees attending a closed-door emergency meeting of the staff group, said Staff Union official.....

Nikkei rises as BOJ move underscores optimism
