Subir Raha appointed Chairman Mangalore SEZ

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) CMD Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Subir Raha has been apppointed as the Chairman of the newly-formed Mangalore SEZ Copmpany Limited.

The Board meeting of the SEZ held yesterday was attended by Directors representing the ONGC, MRPL, Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB), Kannara Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Limited (IL&FS), a release said here today.

The company, incorporated last month, is a joint venture between the ONGC, Karnataka government, KCCI and IL&FS aims to develop the Mangalore Special Economic Zone.

The SEZ will have general-purpose support activities that include banking and telecom in addition to petroleum and petrochemical-related industries.
