RS members concerned over rising unemployment

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Parliament members today expressed concern over rising unemployment in the country and said the government has failed to generate sufficient opportunities even for those who possess technical qualifications.

Moving a private members' resolution in the Rajya Sabha, Mr Datta Meghe of the National Congress Party (NCP) said the number of unemployed youth has been increasing year by year.

''The government should come up with some schemes for providing employment or provide relief to all unemployed youth till they secure jobs.'' Mr E Sudarsana Natchiappan of the Congress said the school and college curricula need to be revised so that those passing out have qualifications suited to current requirements.

P N B merges RRB's in Bihar

Kolkata, Mar 10 (UNI) Four Regional Rural Banks(RRBs), sponsored by Punjab National Bank in Bihar,have been amalgamated into a single Regional Rural Bank in the name of Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank with its Head Office at Patna. These four amalgamated RRBs are Bhojpur Rohtas Gramin Bank, Magadh Gramin Bank, Nalanda Gramin Bank and Patliputra Gramin Banks have altogether 407 branches in 11 districts of Bihar. Rs one lakh reward for providing leads in Varanasi blasts
