Ranabaxy forms Religare-financial services window

New Delhi, Mar 10: Pharma major Ranbaxy Laboratories today announced the formation of 'Religare Enterprises Limited (REL)' which will provide financial services to its corporate, retail and wealth management clients.

'' The formation of Religare Enterprises is a strategic decision to consolidate and strengthen financial care business, an acknowledgement of group's commitment to everage tremendous opportunities in this segment,''Ranbaxy laboratories Managing Director Malvinder Mohan Singh said here.

Religare plans to establish teams of client-centric wealth managers who will be able to provide customised services in all asset classes including equity, commodities, real estate, international equity and structure investment.

Managing Director and CEO of REL Sunil Godhwani said:'' We are successfully building Religare into an integrated financial servises company.'' The company through its four subidiaries would continue to provide its portfolio mannagement, wealth management, retail equity trading, commodity trading, and mutual funds from its more than 150 locations, Mr Mohan Singh said.

11.2 per cent rise in revenues of GSM operators

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Private GSM Mobile Operators have recorded a rise of 11.2 per cent in the revenues in the third quarter of the current financial year (October to December 05) but the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) generated for each customer unit has gone down. ADB Chief says Indian economy can grow 9-10 per cent

EC cracks whip, arms ammunition recovered

Guwahati, Mar 10 (UNI) The Election Commission(EC) has started cracking whip on the anti-socials of Asom as the police recovered large number of arms and ammunition in their ongoing operation before the state goes to the polls. Chief Electoral Officer(CEO) J P Prakash told newsmen here today that 24 arms, 94 rounds of ammunition and 3 kgs of explosives have been recovered from the state in the past few days.
