Rain, thunder showers likely

Pune, Mar 10 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and in some parts of West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa and of east Uttar Pradesh and were above normal in some parts of Uttaranchal and of Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of West Bengal and Sikkim and of Orissa.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region, north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and south interior Karnataka and in some parts of east Rajasthan and were below normal in east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Vidarbha and of Telangana and in remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh and of east Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in south Madhya Maharashtra and were below normal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch, north Konkan and of south interior Karnataka.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab and north west Rajasthan and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and of Rayalaseema and were above normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh and in some parts of Tamil Nadu and in remaining Parts of east Rajasthan. they were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Very light rain or snow have occurred at isolated places in Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.

President Kalam to restore Vishva Bharati's glory

Santiniketan, Mar 10 (UNI) President of India APJ Abdul Kalam today constituted a high level seven-member committee to restore Vishva Bharati university's past glory. ADIDAS to generate employment for 30,000 in AP

Hyderabad, Mar 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K Rosaiah today said the internationally renowned ADIDAS shoe making factory coming up near Tada in Nellore district would employ 30,000 persons, including 20,000 women. CPI demands amendment for land reforms
