Many waiting to join AIADMK: Anbazhagan

Pondicherry, Mar 10 (UNI) AIADMK State Secretary A Anbazhagan, MLA today claimed several people from other parties, including the DMK, will soon join the AIADMK here.

Talking to newspersons, Mr Anbazhagan said the Election Department had taken his statement wrongly and stopped the supply of free rice.

He clarified he had only objected to the provision of the rice in bags carrying photographs of Ms Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rangasamy.

Mr A M Krishnamurty, who quit the BJP yesterday and joined the party, told the press he had joined the AIADMK since as he was confident that Party Supremo J Jayalalitha will be able to provide good governance in Tamilnadu and Pondicherry.

Mohali, Mar 10 (UNI) No play was possible between lunch and tea due to bad light on the second day of the second Test between India and England being played here at the PCA Stadium today. Umpires Darrel Hair and Simon Taufel inspected the conditions four times after the match was stopped at 1037 hrs.
