Bangalore, Mar 10 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today. Rainfall occurred at many places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Manvi, Holalkere 5 each; Bargur 4; Sambre, Raichur, Mysore, Ranebennur, Malavalli, H.B.Halli, Kampli, Bellary 3 each; Gangavathy, Rabkavi, Mahalingapura, Madapura, Bhadravathy, Hunsagi, Santhebennur, Koratagere, Pavagada, Chikkanahalli, Sira, Chitradurga 2 each.
Maximum temperatures fell at a few places over Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka; however below normal at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.
Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
Bellary recorded highest maximum temperature of 35.3 degrees celsius and Gulbarga recorded lowest minimum temperature of 15 degrees celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over the State.
Forecast for Farmers: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of rain/thundershowers likely. Maximum and minimum temperature would be around 30 degrees celsius and 20 degrees celsius respectively.
