KPIT Cummins, Sabeer Bhatia forge alliance

Bangalore, Mar (UNI) KPIT Cummins Infosystems Limited (KPIT) and Hotmail Co-Founder Sabeer Bhatia today announced a long-term partnership to build next generation products for the internet that will significantly change the user experience for netizens.

KPIT Cummins would be responsible for the concept, design, prototyping, launch, support and future development of BlogEverywhere.com, a venture of Shiraz Kanga and the legendary Sabeer Bhatia, a KPIT release said today.

Developed in Pune by KPIT Cummins, BlogEverywhere, was designed specifically to promote simple, universal and contextual blogging.

''We have chosen KPIT Cummins as our strategic partner for building more advanced technology products in the next two to three years, which would change the way people use the internet today'' the release said, quoting Mr Bhatia.

He said KPIT had demonstrated superior technology development and project management skills in delivering the complex architectural requirements of BlogEverywhere in record time. This was once again a clear validation of India's technology strengths, once the monopoly of high tech Silicon Valley. ''KPIT Cummins' Product Engineering team's insatiable desire to attain excellence has given us great confidence in building path breaking web solutions,'' he added.

Charred bodies of two villagers found

Sultanpur, Mar 10 (UNI) The charred bodies of two villagers were found at village Kenaura under Piparpur area of the district today. Police said Ramsagar and Buddhu had gone to the tubewell to sleep last night. It was the last time they were seen alive. Irate villagers blocked the road after the burnt corpses were recovered. Later, senior police officials rushed to the spot and pacified the people, assuring a thorough probe into the matter. UNI XC-VS.....

No price rise in HP, claims Singhi Ram

Shimla, Mar 10 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Horticulture, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Singhi Ram today asserted there was no rise in the prices of essential commodities either in the state or at the central level.Participating in a discussion on 2006-07 Budget in the Assembly here, he said the state government's decision to reduce the market fee from the existing two per cent to one per cent has, on the other hand, brought down their prices. Varanasi blast suspects rounded up in Hardoi

Lucknow, Mar 10: A team from the Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police today (Mar 10, 2006) rushed to Hardoi after local police sleuths detained eight persons including two, whose appearance matched the sketches of Varanasi blast accused.According to police, the team rushed to the neighbouring Hardoi district after getting information about the detention.''Two of the eight persons match the description of the suspects behind Tuesday's serial blasts in the temple town,'' sources added......
