Kotak Lifestyle new fund offer raises over Rs 860 cr

Mumbai, Mar 10 (UNI) Kotak Lifestyle has received an overwhelming response from investors, garnering Rs 860 crore in its recently concluded New Fund Offer (NFO).

Commenting on the response, Mr Santosh Kirkire, NFO CEO Kotak Mahindra Asset Asset Management Company, said, ''The exceptional response received by Kotak Lifestyle is testimony of the investor community's belief in Indian surging economy, as also in Kotak Mahindra AMC's fund management capabilities.'' The Kotak Lifestyle NFO received around 85,000 applications covering 14 locations. Remarkaably with the launch of this scheme, Kotak Mutual Fund has tapped many new locatons.

The inverstment objective of the scheme is to generate long capital appreciation from a portfolio of equity related securities generally diversified across companies, which are likely to benefit by by chaning lifestyle and rising consumerism in India.

Kotak Lifestyle will follow a bottom up investment approach with up to 65-100 per cent equities and up to 35 per cent money or debt market securties.

Rupee closes weaker at 44.49/50/USD

Mumbai, Mar 10 (UNI) The rupee today closed weaker at 44.49/50 per US dollar as against the close of 44.47/48, a dealer at the forex market here said. Earlier Rupee today opened weaker at 44.53/54, as against the last close of 44.47/48, the dealer added. The rupee traded in the range of 44.5150 to 44.54 in the mid-morning session. The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index today closed with a massive gain of 191 points at 10,765 points.....

11.2 per cent rise in revenues of GSM operators

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Private GSM Mobile Operators have recorded a rise of 11.2 per cent in the revenues in the third quarter of the current financial year (October to December 05) but the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) generated for each customer unit has gone down. Inspite of a rise in the Adjusted Gross Revenue, the private GSM industry has witnessed a fall in ARPU. The average industry ARPU has fallen from Rs 390.....

ADB Chief says Indian economy can grow 9-10 per cent

New Delhi, Mar 10(UNI) ADB President Harihiko Kuroda today offered support for reinvigorating Indian agriculture and made out a strong case for stepping up the reform process and rapid development of infrastructure to achieve an annual economic growth rate of nine to ten per cent.
