India-GCC conference from March 25

Dubai, Mar 10 (UNI) A two-day second business conference between India and the Gulf Corporation Council (GCC), to discuss details relating to the proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA), will be held in Muscat on March 25, an official source said.

Commerce Minister Kamal Nath and Communication and Information Technology Minister Dayanidhi Maran will lead the Indian delegation to the conference.

The focus of the meeting would be on trade and investments such as tourism, industry and energy, information technology, biotechnology, small and medium enterprises development, petrochemicals and research and development.

Islamabad, Mar 10 (UNI) A landmine explosion in Pakistan's restive southwestern Balochistan province today killed at least 28 people and injured another seven. A government spokesman said in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan, that 35 members of a family were travelling in a tractor trolley, which hit a landmine in Dera Bugti town, some 600 km east of Quetta, killing at least 26 people on the spot while two others later succumbed to their injuries......

Nagpur ZP Dy CEO in ACB net for accpeting bribe

Nagpur, Mar 10 (UNI) Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Nagpur Zilla Parishad (ZP) Sudhir Walke was arrested by sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for accepting a bribe from a veterinary doctor yesterday, according to agency sources. Walke had demanded Rs 10,000 from Dr Umar Khan Pathan to forward his file sanctioning Rs 54 lakh by the National Cooperative Development Corporkation (NCDC) for setting up a a poultry farm in Mauda Taluka of Nagpur district......
