Gulf Oil Corporation launches 'Co-branded Oils'

Vijayawada, Mar 10 (UNI) Gulf Oil Corporation Limited today launched 'Co-branded Oils' with Ashok Leyland for their commercial vehicles in the city.

Talking to newspersons here the Gulf Oil Corporation General Manager (South) S Das, said that it was maiden launch in Andhra Pradesh and will go a long way in meeting their joint commitment towards lowering the operating costs of vehicle owners.

He said the Corporation was one of the modern states of the art manufacturing plant at Silvassa and is the second largest private sector lubricant company in india.

Mr Das said the company is presently exporting to 24 countries in South-east Asia, East Africa, North Africa, Gulf, Middle East and Southern Europe.

He said with a turnover of Rs 300 crore in the lubrication division last year, the product has the largest market in terms of commercial vehicles in India.

The Oil was launched in Salem on March seven and the next launch would be in Bhubaneswar on March 14, he added.

Best Bakery prime witness Zaheera Sheikh surrenders in court

Mumbai, Mar 10 (UNI) Zaheera Sheikh, the prime witness in Best Bakery case of Gujarat, who was sentenced for one year by Supreme Court in a Contempt of Court on March eight, surrendered before a Special Court at Mazgaon in South Central Mumbai this evening. Zaheera surrendered before Additional Sessions Judge Abhay Thipsay, who had presided over re-trial of the Best Bakery case and had convicted nine of the 17 accused on February 24.
