Four injured in road accident

Cuddalore, Mar 10 (UNI) Four persons including Suba Elavarasan founder of the banned local extremist outfit Tamils Liberation Movement, were injured in a road accident when a police escort vehicle rammed into another police vehicle, at Silambi Mangalam village near Chidambaram here today.

Police said Suba Elavarasan was brought to Additional Sessions Court at Chidambaram in connection with a murder case from Chennai, and the mishap occurred while he was taken back to Chennai after the completion of the court proceedings The driver of the vehicle, in which Suba Elavarasan was travelling, had applied a sudden break to avoid a cyclist, when the escort vehicle, which was following the former had rammed into it.

Suba Elavarsan received minor injuries on his face, while three police personnel including the escort vehicle driver were injured.

All of them were admitted to the Government Headquarters Hospital here, police added.

Railway engineers claims to have spotted Varanasi blast ultras

Varanasi, Mar 10: While Uttar Pradesh Police is still probing the involvement of slain LeT ultra Salar Jung in the March 7 Varanasi blast, two local railway engineers have claimed they had spotted a man resembling the same terrorist, minutes before the blast at the Varanasi railway station.Two engineers at the Diesel Locomotive Workshop (DLW), Arun Kumar and Vikram Sharma, presently admitted at the Male ward of DLW Hospital after suffering splinter injuries in the station blast, told UNI here.....
