Eight pilgrims killed in road mishap

Mandya, Karnataka, Mar 10 (UNI) Eight pilgrims were killed and ten others seriously injured when a lorry in which they were travelling overturned and fell into a ditch between Halagur and Mutthathi highway in Malavalli taluk, today.

Police sources said the mishap occurred when the victims were on their way to attend a religious function.

The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.

Superintendent of Police Sridhar and other police officials have rushed to the spot.

Dehradun, Mar 10 (UNI) Yoga and pranayama basically improve immune system and could even help in fighting serious diseases like cancer and AIDS, according to Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev. Pondicherry, Mar 10 (UNI) The Congress here today began collecting applications from aspirants to contest the May three and eight Assembly elections.
