Dog carries away abandoned new-born in Kashmir

srinagar, Mar 10 (UNI) People outside a maternity hospital were shocked when they saw a dog carrying a new-born baby in its mouth.

The dog dropped the dead baby after the people chased it near the Lala Ded Hospital in the Civil Lines area here.

Shock and panic gripped the entire area and later the baby was handed over to the police.

The police today said, the initial investigations revealed that the new-born baby had been left in a dustbin near the hospital by its parents.

The baby might have died in the dustbin, police added.

Tax-free deficit budget presented in Assembly

Ranchi, Mar 10 (UNI) Jharkhand Finance Minister Raghubor Das today presented a Rs 712.72 crore tax-free deficit budget for the year 2006-2007.
