Christian organisation protest against NDA exam during Easter

Kochi, Mar 10 (UNI) A local Christian organisation here today protested against the decision of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to conduct exams for the National Defence Academy (NDA) during the Easter holidays.

Addressing a press conference here on behalf of the 'Samyukta Christava Samithi,' president of the Kerala Latin Catholic Association Felix J Pulludan termed the decision as unfortunate and urged the UPSC to revise the exam, scheduled for April 15, to some other date.

He also urged some private engineering colleges, which are to hold their entrance exams on that day, to change the schedule.

28 killed in Pakistan's Balochistan province

Islamabad, Mar 10 (UNI) A landmine explosion in Pakistan's restive southwestern Balochistan province today killed at least 28 people and injured another seven. A government spokesman said in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan, that 35 members of a family were travelling in a tractor trolley, which hit a landmine in Dera Bugti town, some 600 km east of Quetta, killing at least 26 people on the spot while two others later succumbed to their injuries......
