Charred bodies of two villagers found

Sultanpur, Mar 10 (UNI) The charred bodies of two villagers were found at village Kenaura under Piparpur area of the district today.

Police said Ramsagar and Buddhu had gone to the tubewell to sleep last night. It was the last time they were seen alive.

Irate villagers blocked the road after the burnt corpses were recovered.

Later, senior police officials rushed to the spot and pacified the people, assuring a thorough probe into the matter.

Lucknow, Mar 10: A team from the Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police today (Mar 10, 2006) rushed to Hardoi after local police sleuths detained eight persons including two, whose appearance matched the sketches of Varanasi blast accused.According to police, the team rushed to the neighbouring Hardoi district after getting information about the detention.''Two of the eight persons match the description of the suspects behind Tuesday's serial blasts in the temple town,'' sources added......

Bail petitions of 3 accused in Sankararaman muder case dismissed

Pondicherry, Mar 10: Pondicherry principal district and sessions judge M Chinna Pandi, hearing the Sankararaman murder case in which the Kanchi Acharyas are prime accused, today dismissed the bail petitions filed by three accused in the case.Dismissing the petitions filed by Anil Kumar (A9), A S Kumar (A10) and Anand Kumar (A11), the judge observed that the petitioners had not murdered Sankararaman out of personal vengence but have committed the crime for money. If they were granted bail, they would tamper.....
