Banking service resumes after computer crash

Imphal, Mar 10 (UNI) Banking services in Manipur, badly affected since Wednesday following systems failure at the SBI main branch, was rectified this afternoon.

State Bank of India officials said the computer system crashed at the main branch on M G Avenue here owing to which there was no financial transactions since March 8.

Initial reports had said it would take another five to six days to rectify the error as no engineer was available in the office.

However, following hectic efforts by bank officials the fault was rectified.
