Azad expresses grief over Kathua bus accident

Jammu Mar 10 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed grief over the loss of human lives in a bus accident near Kathua today in which four people were killed and many injured.

Expressing his sympathies for the bereaved families, he also prayed for the early recovery of the injured in the accident. He has issued instructions to the concerned authorities to provide best possible medical aid to the injured.

Two militants arrested

Srinagar, Mar 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested two militants before they could kill a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader in south Kashmir this afternoon, official sources said. They said a militant entered the house of Mukhtar Ahmad Paddar, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council at Mattan in south Kashmir district of Anantnag. Shimla, Mar 10 (UNI) The cold wave conditions in tribal districts of Himachal Pradesh intensified after another spell of fresh snowfall for the second day today. Higher altitude areas of Lahaul-Spiti district, Pangi and Bharmaour areas of Chamba district and the Dhauladhar ranges in Kangra district were receiving intermittent snow for the second day today and sources said seven to eight inches of snow had been recorded in Lahaul-Spiti.
