All India Junior tennis tourney starts tomorrow

Vijayawada, Mar 10 (UNI) The Seven-day All India Junior (Under-14) tennis tournament for boys and girls will be held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium from tomorrow.

Addressing a press conference here this evening, tournament chief referee A R Rao said the qualifying matches would be held tomorrow and day-after-tomorrow, followed by main matches.

About 120 players including boys and girls were participating in the tournament.

Teams from 12 States across the country would take part in the Rs 75,000 prize-money tournament, Mr Rao added.

IMF delays Kenya aid decision further - FT

NAIROBI, Mar 10 (Reuters) The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will delay further a decision on lending to Kenya following fresh corruption allegations, the Financial Times today reported. President Mwai Kibaki's government has been plagued by accusations of graft which have forced three of his key ministers to resign. They all deny involvement in corruption. Car blast in Russia's Dagestan kills policeman

MAKHACHKALA, Russia, Mar 10 (Reuters) A car exploded today in the Russian region of Dagestan killing a senior policeman and wounding his driver, an Interior Ministry spokesman said. The blast ripped through the car as it was being driven along a street in the republic's capital, killing the deputy head of the local criminal police department, who was a passenger in the car.
