Ahmed denies making allegations against dalit community

Mumbai, Mar 9 (UNI) Maharashtra Dairy Development and Animal Husbandary Minister Anees Ahmed today denied making any derogatory remarks against any person in a function held at Nagapur a few days ago.

Mr Ahmed, while talking to UNI late tonight, said he has respect for all the communities, including dalit, and the allegations levelled against him were false and baseless and made by his political rivals with an aim to malign his position in the eyes of public as well as dalit community.

Meanwhile, several dalit activists--Satyanaryan Jarpoth, Executive Member of Maharashtra Youth Congress (I), and corporator Kumsumtai Ghate--from Nagpur strongly condemned the allegations levelled against Mr Ahmed, saying, he is a Minister who is friendly with them.
