A superb hatrick by Anthony Pereira

Bangalore, Mar 10 (UNI) Vasco Sports Club, Goa, aided by a brilliant hatrick by striker Anthony Pereira thrashed Indian Bank, Chennai 3-0 in the Second Division ONGC Cup 10th National Football League (Group B) here today.

Vasco, which recorded its third win in the six team league, led 1-0 at half time.

Registering the first hatrick of the league, Anthony opened the account in the eighth minute to encash on a pass from Brazillian Edmilson Santos after Rovan Pereira failed.

Anthony scored twice in the second session in which the Bankmen regrouped and made counter raids which were deftly staved off by Vasco custodian Milagrio Medeira The win put Vasco in the second spot with nine points behind Army XI having 10 points, while Indian Bank had collected only four points.

Court's notice to Police Comm on girl's abduction, forced marriage

Mirzapur, Mar 10 (UNI) Police today recovered the bodies of an aged couple -- who were allegedly abducted yesterday -- in Surra forests under Naugarh area of this naxal infested district of Uttar Pradesh. Army jawan arrested on spying charges

Ferozpur, Mar 10 (UNI) Police today raided a hotel here and arrested an Army jawan alongwith an alleged Pakistani spy and recovered secret documents from their possession. Senior Superintendent of Police S S Shrivastav said that Army jawan Ajay Kumar was passing the information related to Army locations, ammunition depot and other military related information to Amit Kumar, who was on the pay rolls of the Pakistani intelligence agencies.
